Crack in a can? -D. Shappel

What I am drinking?

Where am I?

My desktop

Stacy

My Babe - she is the best

Incase noone got that first post.

To those who stumble into my blog pit,

Nope, this is not another shamless self promotion "bog" that talks about my business or appeals directly to my potential clients. This is not advertising, marketing and selfpromotion, just the raw off the top that spills out of my head in between tasks. Most of my time is work so you may see allot of posts about it, but they obviously will not be posts promoting me or my business. So, pretty much this is my place to ramble and rant, spill ideas and well, pretty much to serve as a substitue for good therapy that I just don't have time or money for.

Here's a shout out to the imeadiate family- I promised myself:
Stacy is beautiful, Harry is the best little boy, Savanna is great (no really I think so) , and Steven is my favorite butt head. I love you all.

My fist two babies don't live with me anymore but to them: Ashley you are too much like me, miss you princess - I love you. Aubrey is an angel & imp, a giant trapped in too small a package, and a challenge for sure.

Now back to work, no rest for the wicked or over booked talent.

P.S. Did I mention this is not for promotion or potential client consumption?

late nights

Clients do more than sign contracts and make payments. Most of mine give me their trust with their ideas, inspirations and in some cases their livelihood.

So, I work all the time, sleep when I can and play with my youngest not often enough, to meet deadlines and expectations. Oh, and pay some bills here and there.

Who said self employment was the best? It is almost all sales, and then good solid work on tight timelines when you should be sleeping.

The hardest part I have found is managing customer expectations. Once you open up the theory of flight and show them blue sky they are not easily reeled back in to reality or the specifications in the original project agreement!

More after midnight babble on another night when I am needing a break from work. . .
